HELP & ADVICE  

UNISON offers help and advice to all members through a range of different sources.  The first point of contact however is usually your local stewards .   Local stewards are elected each year by members in your local workplace.  They are responsible for acting as a channel of communication between members and management and are trained by the union to represent members in formal meetings with the company where individual representation is required. 

Your local steward is also supported by the local branch and a number of experienced trade union officers as well as being able to call on support and advice from full time regional and national officials if required. If for any reason you are not able to contact a local steward then you can either contact the local Branch Office or visit the Help page of UNISON’s national website where you can obtain further information and advice which may be able to assist you.
